Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated E-Tijarat Portal which is Pakistan’s first eCommerce portal. In the eCommerce Pakistan Convention which was held on Monday (21st February) in Islamabad. PM Imran Khan announced that there will be no tax amount charged from the freelancers of Pakistan who would have registered themselves as a freelancer.

PM Imran Khan said that the future of this world is going towards digitalization very fastly and our Pakistan’s youth should never miss the opportunities in this revolution of technology.

“IT exports are increasing and in coming years Pakistan can achieve Rs50 billion IT export’s target. It seems like our youth is taking advantage of this technology.”

“We will keep giving incentives and we will remove all the barriers from the way of our youth so that we can properly facilitate our youth and give them the opportunity to get the advantage from this technology’s revolution.”

He said let me give you good news today and then he announced that we have decided that there will be zero tax for the freelancers, and this zero tax will be only for the registered freelancers.
